Nematodes are the natural, organic solution to every gardener’s arch nemesis… the slugs.
But if there’s one thing worse than slugs, it’s slug pellets. Those things kill birds and all sorts of creatures, and you don’t want the children near them either.
Instead, use Nature’s natural slug solution – Nematodes. These tiny, tiny creatures live in our soil and really love slugs in the same way we love fresh vegetables.
Nemasys have come up with a way of multiplying these little worms by the million to help us protect the fruits of labour from slugs. With each application lasting for six weeks.
The Nematodes work by getting at the slugs underground, and they are completely safe for birds, pets, children and other wildlife.
Commercial growers use them on food crops as they are totally safe and they can be effective at temperatures as low as 5 degrees – so will be happy to work through the slug ‘danger zone’ between March and October.
Talking of temperature, if you order these Nematodes, they do come in handy size packs but you must refrigerate them until you are ready to apply – so please don’t order just when you are off on holiday.
Nemaslug comes in two pack sizes, one covering about 40 sq. metres and a larger size covering around 100 sq. metres. You just water them in, but each pack has full instructions.
Between March and October is generally the best time for use outdoors.
