Biodegradable Coir Troughs

These biodegradable troughs have so many uses: instant hedging, controlling wandering mint, easy borders or as indoor gardens – the possibilities are potentially endless!  

They are made for us from natural, sustainable coir by the ladies in Sri Lanka and will last two to three years above ground but will biodegrade more quickly in soil. If you plant them straight into the ground, the coir will strengthen the roots as they grow and it breaks down.  

Our troughs are about 50cm long (20” )  and about 15cm ( 6” ) wide at the top and roughly the same depth. When you fill them up, just pull the tie to hold everything neat and snug until planting time.

These biodegradable coir pots are eco-friendly, perfect for growing plants without creating waste and they naturally decompose when planted.
