Summer Houses
................ the sources of so much inspiration.
Famous authors who loved their Summer Houses include Dr Johnson ( he mainly decamped to other peoples), Gibbon ( though his was in Lausanne), Dahl ( he insisted it was a shed), Woolf
( did not seem to cheer her up much), Sharpe ( so funny, so cruel), Donne ( “.... for whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee” – so cheery), the Shelleys and Byron ( does a Boat House count, well it did for Thomas .) Are you getting bored yet ......... there’s no need to answer !
Anyway what I’m trying to say is there is absolutely no limit to where your imagination can take you in that special retreat we call a ‘Summer House’.
So let me stop going on about what other people have done in their Summer houses.

And show you our Summer Houses so that you can decide what you would like to do in yours.

You know one of the nicest things about SummerHouses ?
Well they are not just for the Summer !!
What’s the coolest thing about our Summer Houses ? Well they can be so nice and warm !
The tight fitting tongue and groove walls, the perfectly aligned windows and the brass fittings ( plus all that experience) makes them a really snug outdoor ‘all weather’ room.
We have a friend who does all of his writing in a ‘summer house’.
Whatever was good enough for Dylan Thomas in his boat shed is quite good enough for him he thinks !
To be honest though, the closest he comes to Dylan Thomas in terms of talent is to occasionally “Rage, rage against the dying of the light” when it gets dark too early in winter !
However, lots and lots of people have connected their summer houses to electricity in fact for our insulated ‘Garden Rooms’ below it would be silly not to !
Well, I shouldn’t take the Micky, you can see where all the imagination has gone, into the so lovely, gracefully flowing designs of these so elegant ‘Outdoor Rooms’
All round insulation and double glazing really make these ‘Life Spaces’ beautiful extensions to your home.
Tennyson’s Summer House
William Cowper wrote everyday in here !
‘Anon’ wrote here !
George Bernard Shaw kitted his out with a telephone, electricity, heater, and a bunk. Oh, and it revolved !
The Summer House in the garden of Moray House where the ‘Act of Union’ was signed in 1707.
They really put their thinking caps on and decided to call this so lovely Garden Room ‘Life Space Premium’
Tell Me More
Then they really stretched their imagination .........
so this beautiful Garden Room is called
‘Life Space Large’
