Plus of course our eminently reasonable delivery charge £8.50
Mind you, it also affords just a little more privacy (well you never know who you might meet at a Garden Party!)
It measures
6'6" x 6'5" x 6'5"
and is easy to assemble.
( Joe rarely uses the kitchen at any time of the year, although Daisy and I are quite thankful for that !)
We can have some lovely Autumn and Winter days, so how about some plants that you can sit and enjoy - with a hot drink of course – during these short breaks in the gloom.
Well there is Lonicera fragrantissima ( Winter Honeysuckle) it can be easily trained as a climber.
It has a cascade of little white flowers from around January to March which have a lovely perfume.
Jasminum nudiflorum ( Winter Jasmine) unfortunately does not have a perfume, but it does have lovely little yellow flowers from about December to March, and lovely shimmering leaves the rest of the year.
Or there is Solanum jasminoides Album ( Potato Vine), little white flowers from Summer to late Autumn ( at least) plus evergreen leaves or Clematis Armandii, white fragrant flowers in early spring plus all year foliage.
Mix and match any of the above with a long flowering fragrant summer rose ( as well as ‘Compassion’ and ‘Highfield’, ‘Schoolgirl’ is really lovely ) and you really will have an all year round retreat.
Cool drinks and sophisticated conversation in the Summer, seed catalogues and Cocoa in the Winter.
And you know what one of the best things about sitting in your ‘Monaco’ or any of our other Arbours “out of season” – there’s so little to do in the garden, you can’t feel guilty about not doing it !
