Anyway, she thought these hampers could be really lasting Christmas gifts.
Bit expensive and generous I think, (but then I’m used to Joe type Christmas presents, want a scarf anyone?)
It has bought comfort and choice beyond the dreams of even our grandparents, but would we have pressed ahead so rapidly if we had known the true costs of ‘progress’ ?
Well, I don’t know, I’m not a philosopher, or an economist
( Joe’s an Economist, but I know he’ll just go on for ages, and ages if I ask him !)
Anyway, what I am sure of is that there are some beautiful things, full of taste and style; full of real worth, full of “Oh, that’s lovely” satisfaction – but not costing the Earth.
So we offer our ‘hand made hamper’, and we mean ‘Hand Made’ !
Nothing in our hampers ( sent it to you in recycled cartons) is mass produced.
Everything is hand crafted: made with care, skill and real devotion.
